The Alpha α signifies the simple but vital mechanical device i.e., a carter pin which is extensively used in systems set in motion. It ensures safety and security and also reliability the values which are all paramount parameters expected of an engineering product. The ring shaped figure carrying CSI College of Engineering (CSICE), Ketti, The Nilgiris signifies the mechanical shaft, a medium by which there is always a transfer.
